COLD CALLER, COLD STORIES AND POSTERS
We've overseen Coors Light for a number of years, helping oversee everything from ATL campaigns to business to business emails. So, as well as the big stuff, we've done a number of smaller bits that are no less interesting. Here are some select cuts...
THE COLD CALLER PHONE APP
A few years back, Coors Light created a cold sensitive label that told you when your beer was the ideal drinking temperature. We called that temperature 'Damme Cold' and put it on their bottles, cans and pint glasses.
Then came up with a cool, sharable digital campaign to promote it. The Damme Cold Caller – an app where people could get Jean Claude Van Damme to personally call their mates to tell them about the label.
Drop down menus allowed you to tailor what Jean Claude said to your friend. Each recipient of a phone call from the man himself received a free beer.
Here's a short video with a cool american VO from our head of IT to explain...
The app went down so well it crashed. Then got nominated for Creative Circle, shortlisted for a Brand Republic digital award and won a Silver in the IAB Creative Showcase. And to top it off we done this mahoosive 192$ poster to promote the label, too;
Damme Cold Stories
Jean Claude Van Damme had spent the previous two years telling us his stories of cold. So we figured it was time for the public to share theirs with him. 'Damme Cold Stories' had people Tweeting, Facebooking and sending us their own wacky stories through a new microsite.
We reactively turned the best into fables for press and Spotify to be read by Jean Claude himself.
The campaign started with a launch ad on Spotify;
Then the entries began to flood in. In the first few days alone there were thousands and we had to reactively turn the best into a series of press ads...
while runners-up were turned into online illustrations and further entries rewarded with personalised Coors Light prizes like pint glasses and t-shirts scribed with their own stories and other totally useful things.
POSTERS
"We need a 6$ to put outside various Wetherspoons to tell people that they now serve Coors Light. Got no money to shoot anything of course...." Ok then.
